The same as, similar to, different from
Ba cụm dùng để so sánh sự giống/khác nhau, mỗi cụm đi với một giới từ cố định: the same AS (giống hệt), similar TO (tương tự), different FROM (khác với). Người Việt hay dịch 'giống như/khác với' thành 'the same like', 'different with'.

Khi nào dùng
Dùng khi so sánh sản phẩm, quy trình, kết quả, báo giá: 'Our price is the same as last year's', 'Their plan is similar to ours', 'This contract is different from the previous one'.
Đúng
The new price list is the same as last year's.
Bảng giá mới giống hệt bảng giá năm ngoái.
Their marketing strategy is similar to ours.
Chiến lược marketing của họ tương tự của chúng tôi.
This contract is different from the one we signed last year.
Hợp đồng này khác với hợp đồng chúng tôi ký năm ngoái.

My job title is the same like yours.
My job title is the same as yours.
The final design is different with the first draft.

Lưu ý
- 'The same' luôn có 'the' và đi với 'as': the same price as, the same as before.
- 'Different to' cũng gặp trong tiếng Anh-Anh và 'different than' trong tiếng Anh-Mỹ, nhưng 'different from' là dạng chuẩn an toàn nhất trong văn viết; 'different with' là sai.
