Many young people in Vietnam must choose between working for a large company and joining a startup1. Both options have clear advantages and disadvantages.

A large company usually offers2 a stable salary, health insurance and a clear career path. For example, my friend Hung works for a big bank, and he knows exactly what he needs to do to get a promotion. However, his work can be repetitive, and decisions often take a long time.

In contrast, a startup gives employees more freedom3 and responsibility. At my company, which has only fifteen people, I write content, manage social media and even talk to customers4. As a result, I learn new skills every month. On the other hand, the salary is lower and the future of the company is less certain.
