AThe first meeting with a new client often matters more than people expect, because the client is deciding not only whether to work with the company, but also whether they can trust and feel comfortable with the people in the room.
BArriving a few minutes early and knowing a little about the client's business beforehand shows real interest, rather than treating the meeting like just another item on a long to-do list.
CListening more than talking in the first meeting also helps. Asking the client about their main goal or biggest problem gives useful information that can shape a much better offer later.
DEnding the meeting with a clear next step, such as "We will send a proposal by Friday," leaves the client with confidence that something will actually happen, rather than a vague, friendly conversation with no follow-up.
