AManaging communication in a hybrid team, where some employees work from the office and others work remotely, introduces challenges that a fully in-person or fully remote team rarely has to deal with in quite the same way.
BA common, often unintentional problem is that important decisions get made informally among the people physically in the office, during a quick hallway conversation, while remote colleagues only hear about the outcome afterward, if at all.
CDeliberately moving key discussions into a shared, documented channel, rather than relying on whoever happens to be nearby at the time, helps ensure remote team members are not quietly left out of decisions that affect their work.
DSome hybrid teams also set a rule that any decision affecting the whole team must be confirmed in writing, even if it was first discussed verbally, so that no one's input depends on simply being in the right physical place at the right time.
