AMany offices now use chat apps for quick questions instead of email or walking over to someone's desk. This is fast, but it also comes with its own unwritten rules that not everyone follows the same way.
BSending many short messages one after another, like "hey" then "are you there" then "I have a question," can feel more annoying than sending one clear message with the full question included.
CNot every message needs an instant reply, even though chat apps feel urgent. A busy coworker should be allowed a few hours to reply, unless the message clearly says it is urgent.
DUsing a calm, polite tone in chat also matters, since very short replies like "no" or "fine" can sound colder in text than they would if said out loud with a normal voice.
