AMany people write work emails the same way they talk, with long sentences and many small details. This can make an email hard to read quickly, especially for a busy coworker checking messages between meetings.
BA clear email usually says the main point in the first sentence, such as "I need the report by Friday," instead of hiding the request at the bottom after several lines of other information.
CShort, simple sentences also help avoid confusion. A sentence with only one idea is much easier to understand than a long sentence that tries to explain three different things at once.
DBefore sending an important email, reading it once more and asking "would a busy person understand this in ten seconds?" often helps writers remove extra words and make the message clearer.
