AWriting a work email is different from texting a friend. Many new employees write emails that sound too short or too direct, which can make colleagues think they are angry, even when they are not.
BA simple way to sound friendlier is to add a short greeting, like "Hi Mai, hope you are well," before the main message. This small step does not take long but changes how the email feels to the reader.
CIt also helps to explain why you are asking for something, not just what you need. For example, "Could you send the report by Friday, since the client meeting is on Monday?" sounds clearer than a bare request.
DBefore sending, many people read the email one more time out loud. Reading aloud often shows if a sentence sounds rude or confusing, so it can be fixed before the reader ever sees it.
